After reading countless posts on how long to leave the lights on and if turning them off for a few days to increase growth I am going to try it out.
Ive been running my lights for 7 hours total, my dusk/dawn from 3-10pm and the entire fixture from 4-9pm. Its been going on since April 4th and I have been seeing the BEST colors and growth ever. Today is the first day I am trying out the lights off for two days. I hope this eliminates all random algae and gives time for the corals to grow. I'll snap a few pictures after Friday.
